Zach Appelman plays the role of Joe Corbin. Zach Appelman is an actor, known for Kill Your Darlings (2013), World of Warcraft: Cataclysm (2010) and The Words Left Unsaid (2007).

HistoryEdit

Appelman was born, raised, and went to High School in Palo Alto, California.[2] Appelman played many sports in high school, including track and field, wrestling, and a lot of competitive martial arts.[2] Appelman earned a black belt in karate in high school.[2] He went to University of California, Santa Barbara for his BFA in acting. Appelman then went to Yale School of Drama for his MFA in acting.[3] Appelman's first job out of grad school was playing Tybalt in Romeo and Juliet.[2] He would then go on act in regional theatre in such productions as Hamlet, Timon of Athens, 'King Lear and A Midsummer Night's Dream.[3][4] Appelman then went on to the New York City theatre district to perform in Theatre for a New Audience's A Midsummer Night's Dream as Demetrius and Broadway's War Horse as Sgt. Fine.[3]

Appelman would go to film and television. He would appear in 2013's Kill Your Darlings as Luke Detweiler.[3] His first lead role was in 2014's A Midsummer Night's Dream as Demetrius.[3] In 2016, his next film will be an untitled Joshua Marston Project as Malcolm.[3] In season 15 of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Appelman guest stars as Officer Jimmy Hamilton in two episodes. He guest starred in season 2's Sleepy Hollow as Joe Corbin. He had a recurring role in season 3's Beauty & the Beast as Alton Finn.[3] On August 21, 2015, it was announced that Appelman was bumped up to series regular on Sleepy Hollow as Joe Corbin.[5] Appelman has previously been featured in Sheri Wilner's play, The Miracle of Chanukah, and Patrick Gabridge's play Christmas Breaks for public radio show and podcast, Playing on Air.[6]
