The Wendigo was a demonic half-beast creature and skin-walker from the Shawnee legends.

Revolutionary War[]
During the Revolutionary War, Daniel Boone believed that his brother Squire Boone had been cursed following their winter at Valley Forge in which he suffered "nostalgia". Thus Boone spent a year among the Shawnee in order to cure his brother, which was succesful despite the scars Daniel Boone hid under his racoon hat.[1]
Sleepy Hollow[]
In 2014, using the Pied Piper's bone pipe,[2] Henry Parrish cursed Joe Corbin in order to get an item from him. When he first changed in Afghanistan, Corbin killed and ate all the platoon members organs.[1]

- Shapeshifting: A Wendigo is capable of shapeshifting between their Human form and their Wendigo form. This shapeshifting change is mostly involuntary and is usually triggered by the scent of human blood; even the Wendigo's own blood is enough to trigger the change.[1]
- Enhanced smell: A Wendigo's sense of smell is greatly enhanced, even in human form. The sense of smell is especially sensitive to human blood which triggers the transformation if the Wendigo is in human form. When in Wendigo form, the creature is easily able to hunt down its victims from even the slightest smell from the littlest of cuts.[1]
Weaknesses[]
- Trank bullets: they are good
- Though not able to kill the creature, multiple trank bullets are able to knock the creature out for a period.[1]
- Shawbee ceremonial chant: This chant is able to undo the transformation of a Wendigo and transform them back to human form, releasing the Wendigo from their curse.
