The Wendigo was a demonic half-beast creature and skin-walker from the Shawnee legends.
History
During the Revolutionary War, Daniel Boone believed that his brother Squire Boone had been cursed following their winter at Valley Forge in which he suffered "nostalgia". Thus Boone spent a year among the Shawnee in order to cure his brother, which was succesful despite the scars Daniel Boone hid under his racoon hat.[1]
Season Two
In 2014, using the Pied Piper's bone pipe][2], Henry Parrish cursed Joe Corbin in order to get an item from him. When he first changed in Afghanistan, Corbin killed and ate all the platoon members organs.[1]
